Resérve Francis Courselle
Bordeaux Red
Location: In the district of La Sauve-Majeure, in the heart of the Entre-deux-Mers, 20km south Bordeaux, on a superb soil at 90 m height. The name of Thieuley, in old French, defines the place where they made tiles, and then concealing the clay, so precious for the great wines.

Grapes varieties: 60 % Merlot, 20 % Cabernet Sauvignon. 20 % Cabernet Franc.
Harvesting: Green harvest: disbudding, leaf removals. Hand-picking at full ripeness. The ripeness is carefully controled
Winemaking: Cold maceration before fermentation during 3 days. Fermentation in stainless steel vats with temperature control for 3 weeks. Malo lactic fermentation in new oak barrels
Ageing: During 14 months, in new oak casks on fine lees
Production: 100 000 bottles
Deeply coloured wine, with an intense and complex red fruit-scented nose.
The mouth shows a lot of depth and complexity, the tannins, present but not aggressive make of this wine a long-keeping one, that will blossom after some few years in cellars.
To taste with game, red meats and cheeses.
