From the north of St. Emilion. The grapes are picked at full ripeness from 30-35 year old vines. Traditonal winemaking and aged for 12 months in vats. A supple, round wine, good body and loads of fruit.
 

Product Description

Château Vieux Faurie Saint Émilion

Location: In the north of Saint-Emilion, on the road to Montagne St Emilion

 

Vineyard area: 5.5 hectares.

Soil: Sandy

Grapes varieties: 80 % Merlot, 20 % Cabernet Franc

Age of the vines: 30-35

Harvesting: Hand picking at full ripeness

Winemaking: Winemaking done with traditional methods in stainless steel and cement vats with a long maceration (3-4 weeks) and pumping-over twice a day..

Ageing: During 12 months in vats and for a quarter of the harvest in barrels.

Production: 25 000 bottles per year.

 

A supple and round wine with a good body, loads of fruit intertwined with nice woody notes..

 

 

To drink with roast beef and cheese with character.
